Your are using white highlights again. Basically the same notes here, if the cup is casting a shadow on itself there can't be a highlight on the bottom part of the cup.
btw it is normal that you feel discouraged and feel like you are not progressing. This is the point where so many people give up. Because they don't want to keep running against the wall. But running against a wall is essential to be able to improve. If you stop you stop. If you keep running against it, you'll be able to break through until you hit the next wall.
