I'm not really sure how the sky would look in this scenario. I thought the sunlight would catch the clouds a little bit to the right more. I think the sky might be a little bit brighter now that the painting is finished.
I put the red suit case in a field. I time of day is mid-day since the sun isn't up high in the sky.
There you go! I see the sunlight. I don't think that the grass will be that bright though. I would go with a darker value but still saturated. For the sky I would choose a cooler blue. The light is making sense though. Keep going.
Yay! Drawing the diagram helps a lot. And I still have to ask Paul to make sure I"m seeing things correct but I can start to see how the light will effect the objects.
