  1. Hey you are getting really good at painting from reference. the colors are great. Do you still keep the time between 30min- 1h?
It's really important to capture the base as fast as you can to build up your understanding for lighting.

What you try to do now from time to time is to paint a similar setting you painted before but this time from memory without looking at your previous painting and compare afterwards.
That way you can filter out your mistakes you make.

  3. I'm still keeping it to that time line but I've stuck closer to the 1hr than 30 mins.
I approach it with 30mins in mind but then tend to go toward the hour mark.
I stop when it's an hr but sometime I go over by 15 mins.

I'll try and paint from memory of how light reflects on different materials and in the different environments.

  4. That's cool though everything within an hour is good.
Are you feeling the improvement? Cause I can definitely see it.

  5. I do feel like I'm looking at Lighting differently.
I see the improvement from when I first started but I guess I'm wondering
how I compare to other normal artists...I still think I have a long way to go vs someone
    in the industry.
    What's your honest opinion?
    I promise I won't be totally crushed.
