I like how you are approaching your latest paintings. You are using ref but you don't stick 100% with them.
Remember that white in shadow won't be white. Your mushroom stems would be in shadow so they should be significantly darker. Notice how dark the white areas of the birch trees are. And also don't forget scale relationships. Those mushrooms seem pretty big.
