I think the mountains on the right side are too dark on the shadow side. I changed some of the color slightly on the reference. And I think the goats need to pop out more. Should I post the reference images next time?
There might be a scale issue with the goats vs the right side mountain too. They are also looking a little flat.
yeah the right side is definitely too dark. Since the desert surface is very reflective you will have a lot more bounce light affecting the shadow areas. The reference could have been misleading. If cameras shoot against bright light you wil get more silhouetted shapes wich is not good to use for reference since our eye would see things differently.
