Snow House

I think I should have made the house smaller. The perspective seems off.
And there should be a little bit more yellow/red on the shadow side of the house.
Thanks for all your feedback!

  1. colors are pretty good but watch the shadow sides. Shadows usually don't go towards black or grey if there is a blue sky. Always remember the strong sky fill. Your roof snow would be a saturated blue in the shadows instead of going to grey.
I see you were trying to match the color here but try to force yourself to think about what is actually going on. The sun warms up the highlights so you have the nice warm yellow on the highlight side of the house. The shadow side of the snow on the roof is reflecting the sky so it will be very blue.
The perspective seems off because of the scale relationships. The small tree that on the right of the house has a proportions of a pine tree but is way too small so it makes the house looks gigantic while in the reference it's more like a bush/tree. Also if you put those foreground elements you gotta make sure that they follow the same lighting scenario. There would be no reason for the trees to be so dark. They would need a highlight on the left.
    Keep it up!
